Catholic Charities of Denver is a 501(c)(3), a public charity of the Catholic Church and a separate legal entity from the Archdiocese of Denver. Its legal status enables Catholic Charities to safeguard donations to serve those reached by our ministries. Donations to fund our charitable work will not go to the Archdiocese of Denver’s reparations program but will go directly to people who are served through Catholic Charities services.
The state of Colorado allows you to take up to a 25% tax credit on your state income taxes when you donate to any one of these four Catholic Charities homeless shelters through the Enterprise Zone:
- Samaritan House Downtown
- Samaritan House Smith Road
- Samaritan House Fort Collins
- The Guadalupe Community Center (Greeley)
This is a tax credit, not just a tax deduction. For more information about this tax credit, visit https://samhousedenver.org/enterprise-zone/
